The oversized steel bars are further cold-worked to increase mechanical properties and remove any surface impurities. The fasteners are heat treated with a proprietary process, unique from the automotive, commercial, and aerospace industries allowing each fastener the ability to achieve higher tensile strengths without sacrificing toughness.
