Description:

Celebrating the 300th Anniversary of the Composition of the Clavier Average: A Big Project with 3 different instruments and 5 instruments in total! Bach's "Clavier pieces" were the final and most important stage of Bach's educational program, and are still one of the most important collections for those learning to play the piano today. It is the "Old Testament for Keyboard" that offers in-depth study of keyboard technique and interpretation, composition and improvisation, counterpoint, musical form, aesthetics, and rhetoric for everyone from the "young learner" to the "seasoned virtuoso, Enrico Baiano, an Italian keyboard player and one of the most interesting interpreters in the world of classical music today, has realized an amazing project to perform all 48 pieces on "3 types of 5 keyboard instruments" to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the composition of "The Mean Clavier Works"! The project was realized! Baiano prepared three types of keyboard instruments for this recording: fortepiano, harpsichord, and clavichord. The use of a replica Zilberman fortepiano to express the friendship between Bach and Zilberman, the choice of a replica Etienne Blanchet 1733 harpsichord that can produce a more flemish sound in order to portray the "pan-European" spirit of Bach's music, etc. The result is a piece that is thoroughly detailed and expressive of the composer's historical background. The result is a performance of the "Mean Law" appropriate for the "300th Anniversary" that is thoroughly and carefully researched down to the smallest detail and played through creative interpretation.
