Lord Lionel, the self-proclaimed "foremost expert on mythology and monster research," meets "Mr. Link," a living fossil, through a single letter, and embarks on a cross-world journey from London to America, Switzerland, and the Himalayas in search of "Mr. Link's" friends." The "secret buddy" becomes a unique, bumpy buddy, and at the end of their epic journey, they discover an "amazing truth" that overturns the conventional wisdom of the world. The beautiful images and humorous characters are brought to life by Carter Burwell, who is well known for his work with the Joel and Ethan Coen brothers. Carter Burwell won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score for "Where the Wild Things Are," Spike Jonze's adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic novel.This time around, the program offers a wide variety of sounds, from vibrant orchestral sounds, to warm acoustic sounds, to ethnic sounds with sitar and flute. The closing song "Do-Dilly-Do" by Walter Martin is also included.
