Description:
Garage heroes Parkay Coates, born in New York, the city of house and punk, return with a danceable masterpiece! Parkay Coates, a genuine garage hero of the NYC scene, where punk, house, and disco have long been mixed together in a chaotic energy, has released his sixth album in three years! Inspired by the clubs of Brooklyn, Talking Heads and Primal Scream's classic album "Screamadelica", this album features the killer single "Walking at a Downtown Pace" as the first single. The album features 11 of the most danceable songs ever, including "Marathon of Anger," an obscene disco-punk wrapped in a New York-like echo, and "Plant Life," which was released as a very limited 12-inch single and lifts up with a slow groove that is 40 minutes long in its original form. The album was co-produced by Roderick McDonald (David Byrne to The xx) and John Parrish (PJ Harvey to Dry Cleaning), and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Joe Rapota, who has worked with David Bowie, Foo Fighters, and Vampire Weekend. Mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Joe LaPorta, who has worked with David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend, and more. The album is a masterpiece of the intersection of CBGB and The Loft, created by LCD Soundsystems, Rapture, and ! The Japanese CD version of this album includes an additional bonus track, commentary, and bilingual lyrics.
