Description:
This album contains a wide range of recordings by Pisinguinha, the "father of Brazilian music," from his debut as a teenager to his peak years as a flutist around 1930, and from the late 20s to the 30s, when he conducted an orchestra and aimed to create a new style of choro. The recordings from the late 20's to the 30's, when he was in his prime as a flutist, and from the late 20's to the 30's, when he conducted an orchestra to create a new style of choro, are all included in this album. The music selection and commentary for this album is by music critic Katsunori Tanaka, who currently presides over the Discologia label.
