Cheap Trick
Description:
Cheap Trick is a hard pop band formed in Chicago in 1974. The band achieved more success in Japan than in their home country of the U.S., and their live album "CHEAP TRICK AT BUDOKAN" released in 1978 was a huge breakthrough in their home country, making them one of the most popular bands in the world. Now, a rare live archive from the 1970s, just after their debut, is available on CD!
Following their debut albums "CHEAP TRICK" and "IN COLOR," which became even bigger hits in Japan than in their home country, Cheap Trick released the album "HEAVEN TONIGHT" in 1978 and played their first Japan tour in April of the same year, which was a huge success. With this momentum, Cheap Trick embarked on a hard schedule of touring in North America, where the album reached No. 48 on the U.S. album charts and was awarded a platinum disc. As part of the promotion of this tour, several performances were recorded and broadcasted for radio programs, and this live album is based on the radio broadcast of the Boston show on June 10 of the same year.
This live album is based on the radio broadcast of the Boston show on June 10 of the same year. The tour was developed with the momentum from the Japan show, so the live performance is more powerful than ever with the pop sound of the band!
