[universounds presents DEEP JAZZ REALITY Vol. 2] Yasuhiro Kono, born in 1953, started playing the piano when he was 19 years old. Two years later, he joined Eikichi Yazawa's band as a keyboard player. While working as a backing musician, he also led his own group, performing at live houses and other venues. Kono was led to jazz after encountering the music of McCoy Tyner. His passion and spirit are evident in "Like McCoy" and "J.C. Blues," which is dedicated to Coltrane. Originally released in 1983; latest digital remastering in 2019. New commentary included.
