Cynar, invented by Venetian entrepreneur Angelo Dalle Molle and launched in Italy in 1952, is an artichoke based bittersweet liqueur enriched by a secret recipe of the infusion of thirteen herbs and plants.
A dark amber-brown liquid, with a herbal nose, Cynar is a modern versatile drink with a bittersweet liquid that carries herbal notes including artichoke, rounded with caramel smoothness.
A bartender favourite, it can be enjoyed on the rocks, as a spritz, or in a range of cocktails such as the Cynar Julep. Cynar is perfect as both an aperitif and a digestif.
Preparation and Usage: 1. Cynar & Tonic: 1 part Cynar + 3 parts tonic water slice of lime, icecubes. 2. Cynar & Soda: 1 part Cynar + 3 parts soda water slice of orange, icecubes.
