One of the best Norwegian Gothic/Symphonic HM bands, Lives Eyes, has evolved considerably and this is their fourth album in a year and a half. The group is one of the pioneers in the gothic HM genre, fronted by Liv Christine, a rare female singer. Former Theatre of Tragedy vocalist Liv Christine and her husband Alexander Krull (vocals; "Atrocity") formed the group in 2003, and have released three full-length albums, all of which have been hits in Japan, making them one of the leading groups in their home country. Their second album, "Elegy," became the band's biggest hit to date with a single hit, and their long world tour brought them worldwide recognition. The band's lyrical sound, which is centered on melancholy melodies with a strong folk/traditional essence, and their stage presence, which emphasizes the visual effects of color, light, and the trinity of the three elements, have been highly acclaimed both at home and abroad.
