This is the first time in 15 years that the two icons of leftfield music, Roxy Music and the Velvet Underground, have collaborated on 1990's "Wrong Way Up," a collaboration between two icons who have been at the creative center of both of these revolutionary bands. In 1974, Eno was a guest musician on each other's records, and that same year Kevin Ayers, John Cale, Nico, and Brian Eno released the legendary live album "June 1, 1974," and the two have stayed in touch ever since. The year before "Wrong Way Up", Eno produced Cale's album "Words For The Dying".The result of the trust that had developed between the two over the years, this album was also notable in that it was Brian Eno's first vocal work since 1977's "Before and After Science," and spawned the single hits "Spinning Away" and "Been There Done That.
