The explosive energy and Slavic melancholy latent in the music of "Godzilla" composer Akira Ifukube are fully expressed by three horn players active in the avant-garde jazz scene and the accordion and singing voice of Charan Po Lantern, based on the performance by the ultimate non-genre band "Hicashew" led by Koichi Makigami. The cover art is a new drawing by Yuji Kaida, who is gaining international acclaim as a monster artist.
