The FX-001 is a versatile fairway wood engineered to deliver both high launch and powerful ball flight. Designed for amateur golfers with a variety of swing types, the FX-001 is fully adjustable through fitting to meet individual performance needs, offering maximum distance and control in a single club.

Available in 15°, 17.5°, 20°, and 23° lofts, the FX-001 combines carefully selected materials, advanced weight placement, and precise shaft engineering to provide a fairway wood that performs across every lie and swing.

Performance Highlights

15° & 17.5° – High Launch Design

• Construction: Lightweight 6-4 Titanium body and face, with a high-density stainless steel sole (17-4PH)

• Weighting: 9g back weight and 2g face weight for optimal low and deep CG

• Functionality: The weight distribution promotes a higher launch for easy ball flight. Swapping front and back weights creates a low-spin, mid-trajectory configuration for “powerful flight” as desired.

• Spin Adjustment: Back-to-front weight changes produce approximately 400 RPM difference in spin, giving noticeable variation in trajectory height.

Engineering Feature: The internal hosel has been cut to remove contact between the heel and hosel, increasing flex across the face and enhancing rebound for maximum ball speed.

20° & 23° – Shortwood Advantage

• Purpose: Designed for players with moderate swing speed who struggle to launch the ball, while also offering advanced control for approach shots on greens.

• Key Benefits:

  • Refined leading-edge design for easier address and alignment

• Face Technology: Laser-milled face ensures consistent spin even from tricky lies or wet conditions, allowing predictable distance and controlled trajectory.

Shaft: NEW FT-f

The FX-001 is paired with the FT-f shaft, co-developed with Mitsubishi Chemical, tuned specifically for fairway woods:

• 5f: 55g / 5.2 torque / mid-kick profile

• 6f: 66g / 4.2 torque / mid-kick profile

• 7f: 76g / 3.8 torque / mid-kick profile

Performance: The shaft provides smooth, controlled flex for easy launch, allowing golfers to maximize head speed and lift the ball effortlessly. Its predictable behavior suits a wide range of golfers, offering confidence and consistency in each swing.

Adjustability

• Weight Ports: Interchangeable weights (1g–16g) allow fine-tuning of swing balance and performance.

  • For #15 and #17.5 lofts, back-weight ports accept up to 12g.

  • Every 1.7g change approximately equals one swing weight point.

Sole Design for Real-World Play

Golf courses are rarely perfectly flat. The FX-001 features a rounded sole optimized for varied turf conditions, ensuring the club interacts efficiently with the fairway, producing predictable ball flight from every lie.
