Description:
Formed as a vocal group in the 50's, the group had a hit with "Shout" on RCA Records in 1959. They became stars in a big way. Later, the group moved to WAND Records and charted with "Twist and Shout," which was famously covered by The Beatles. In the mid-1960s, he famously added the unknown Jimi Hendrix to his touring lineup and had him participate not only on stage but also on recordings. This CD is the second LP released by WAND Records in 1962, following RCA's "Shout. This is one of the most famous albums of the 60's with emphasis on beats. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, the group became big in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, transforming from R&B to soul, and from soul to funk, in a way that suited the times.
