The Bell UH-1C was a dedicated short-fuselage ‘gunship’ variant of the famous ‘Huey’ transport helicopter, first developed in the early 1960s for the US military.

It featured an uprated engine, improved rotor head and rotor blades to enable it to carry a wide range of offensive weapons in support of transport helicopters and ground forces.
