The Boots
Description:
<The Boots, an R&B oriented garage band born in West Berlin, was the first band to be released on the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" series, the 33rd in the series of reissues in conjunction with the "60's GARAGE DISK GUIDE" presented by All Days Records, under the supervision of Jimmy Masuko. In the 1960s, the beat scene in West Germany (Federal Republic of Germany) was influenced by the British groups that came to Hamburg to work as migrant workers. West Berlin was no exception, but its geographical location as an enclave surrounded by East Germany (German Democratic Republic) gave birth to two R&B-oriented garage bands, The Boots and The Hounddogs. The Boots left behind a first album full of aggressive R&B punk, but then moved on to a soul band and disappeared at the mercy of their label. Although they did not leave any original songs, the band was popular as a live band, and you can feel the wild charm of the Boots. Commentary: Jimmy Masuko
