Hycrete PU cement is designed for high durability and resistance in food and beverage production environments, where exposure to high heat, chemicals, and physical impacts is common. Compared to traditional epoxy coatings, Hycrete PU cement offers enhanced longevity due to its superior resistance to wear and tear, particularly in areas adjacent to ovens, burners, freezers, and cool rooms, where its thermal shock resistance is crucial.
Hycrete PU-SL(m) is a specific type of polyurethane concrete product within the Hycrete range, intended for use on floors that experience thermal shock. It is suitable for environments with expected temperatures up to 120 °C, and a thickness of at least 9 mm is recommended for optimal performance. This product is designed to offer high resistance to a range of organic acids, including acetic and lactic acid, as well as to food acids such as phosphoric acid and sanitizing chemicals like peroxyacetic acid solutions.
The composition of Hycrete PU-SL(m) includes a solventless polyurethane and a cementitious quartz filler blend, typically applied as a 6 mm broadcast topping with optional anti-slip finishes. For sealing, Hycrete PU-TC(m) is used. Alternatively, Hycrete PU-SL(m) can be applied as a single-layer, smooth, seamless 4 mm self-levelling topping.
