After releasing "Kurdistan" (Sambinya Import INSI-5342 under the name Nishtiman) in 2013 and "Kobane" (Sambinya Import HMSI-23195) in 2017, the Kurdish music project: 2 Kinds Timan Project has released a new album after a long absence. The participating members this time are: Hussein Zahawi, in charge of drums such as daf/dor/bendir; Goran Khamil, in charge of oud, a lute-like string instrument used in Arab music culture; Ayub Ali, in charge of chants; Meherzad Azami Kia, in charge of kemancheh, a rubbing string instrument; Zurna/Baraban/Duduk, and other wind instruments. The seven Kurdish musicians are from Turkey, Iran, and the Iraqi Kurdistan region: Ertan Tekin on wind instruments such as duduk, Searvash Kamkar on the Iranian percussion instrument santur, and Robin Vassey on percussion.
