Ladies magnificent limited edition 14kt white gold onyx necklace. Erte first created La belle as a painting entitled Heat which was then reproduced in September 1920 as Harper's Bazaar cover. In 1980 the artist reinterpreted the same theme as a twenty six color signed, limited edition serigraph titled heat. In 1985, the artist again utilized this theme as the central design image for this fine art piece of jewellery, entitled La belle. La Belle is an exquisite three dimensional representation of a highly carved female figure reclining in a hand-carved black onyx elliptical swing, suspended from diamond bales. The necklace is crafted as polished marquise cut black onyx cabochons individually hand set in 14kt gold and joined by diamond ornaments. Two 14kt gold oval ornaments set with 48 diamonds, complete the necklace motif. Limited edition of 87 pieces.
