Pocket memo booklet bound in burgundy cloth with gilt stamped cover, 5.5 x 3.5 inches. Very Good with light soil and toning. (4)p printed text including illustration of the company warehouse on (2). Printer's ad to rear pastedown (Wilbur & Hastings). List of goods for sale on (4) has been half pasted-over with flower labels. 6 pages of manuscript text related to home gardening (flowers, fruits and veg alike). Text on lined pages begins "Grapes 1868;" a note from 1873 notes "sowed cauliflower & egg plant in the house and started tuberoses in pots..." Many remaining blanks and three laid in scraps related to suppliers in the metropolitan New York area--a great snapshot from the period.
