OFF THE SOUNDBOARD is KISS' new official "bootleg" live series. This new series begins with a spectacular performance piece that took place on March 13, 2001 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. Tokyo has always occupied a special importance throughout KISS' band story over the years. In Off the Soundboard: TOKYO 2001, KISS performs to a packed house of 55,000, performing everything from "Lovin' You Baby," "Heaven's on Fire," and "Rock 'n' Roll All Night" to the 1976 classic "Detroit Rock City." This is the quintessential KISS live show, recorded directly from the soundboard.The performance, in which 21 songs were played in all, was a monumental concert celebrating the band's musical legacy, and the lineup included founding members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, with Ace Fraley on guitar and Eric Singer on drums.
