DESCRIPTION 

Halcyon dive backplates are manufactured with the optimum size, durability, and functionality in mind, allowing for a comfortable diving experience when paired with any Halcyon wing. 

Available in two materials, stainless steel (SS), and carbon fibre, allowing divers the flexibility to customise their Halcyon system. 

Carbon Fibre

Carbon is the ultimate travel and warm water option, weighing just over 500 grams for the standard size. This allows for flexibility in weight positioning (if any is needed). Carbon backplates are also available in a 'Pro' version, with an integrated tank adaptor and cinch system molded onto the backplate itself, reducing the componentry of your dive system.    

Stainless Steel

A SS backplate tends to be preferred by cold water/drysuit divers, due to the 2.2kg negatively buoyant properties. This allows divers to leave some lead at home, and have weighting closer to the centre of their mass. Those looking for a weight pocket free experience in warmer waters may also benefit from this, although carbon fibre is typically recommended for any traveling divers.
