About Abu

Aleandro 'Abu' Urag, also known as Andy, discovered his passion for painting at the age of 9. Born in 1963, he has dedicated decades to honing his craft across various mediums, from watercolor to pastel, oil, and acrylic. Under the mentorship of renowned artist Fernando Sena, he cultivated his skills while developing a love for teaching, sharing his expertise with aspiring artists.

As a member of Grupo Kwadro since its inception in 2015, Abu is part of a community of seasoned visual artists in the Philippines. The group fosters creativity and camaraderie, regularly organizing portrait sketching sessions and collaborative practice sessions. With a deep-rooted appreciation for the arts and a commitment to continuous growth, Abu remains an integral part of the Filipino art scene, inspiring others with his talent and dedication.
