Measure the center-to-center distance between your pulleys, then calculate the required belt loop length. As a general rule: perimeter ≈ 2 × center distance + (sum of pulley circumferences). This belt is available from 1200mm (≈47.2") to 1399mm (≈55.1") in 3mm increments. When in doubt, size up — a slightly longer belt can typically be tensioned; a belt that is too short cannot be installed.
Width determines load capacity. For light-duty applications such as 3D printers or small plotters, 10mm is generally sufficient. For CNC routers, conveyor systems, or applications with higher lateral loads, 15mm or 20mm is typically recommended. The 30mm width is suited for heavy-duty industrial conveyor or drive applications.
The tooth pitch is 3mm (3M profile). Each tooth is spaced 3mm apart — for example, a 400-tooth belt has a perimeter of 1200mm. Please confirm the tooth profile matches your pulley specification before ordering.
The built-in steel wire core provides tensile reinforcement generally suitable for light-to-medium drive applications. Exact load ratings depend on width, speed, and pulley diameter. For heavier industrial loads, we recommend the 20mm or 30mm width variants and consulting your drive system specifications.
Polyurethane (PU) offers better resistance to oils, mild chemicals, and moisture compared to rubber belts. However, prolonged exposure to standing water or harsh outdoor UV conditions may reduce service life. For outdoor conveyor use, we recommend periodic inspection.
This belt uses a 3mm tooth pitch (3M profile). GT2 pulleys use a 2mm pitch and are not compatible. HTD pulleys use a rounded tooth profile and are also generally not compatible. Always verify the tooth profile of your pulley matches the 3M profile of this belt before installation.
The steel wire core adds tensile strength without significantly reducing flexibility for typical pulley diameters used in this perimeter range. Installation is straightforward — loop the belt over both pulleys and adjust tension via your tensioner. Avoid bending the belt around pulleys smaller than the minimum recommended diameter for your width.
