My heart swells in fall when I see pomegranates return to the produce section. They are a sign of renewal and abundance, and associated with many myths and legends. Persephone is a popular one, and as pomegranates are popular in the south of Italy where my great-grandmother is from, there are some strange but fascinating folktales of girls growing in them.
This is one of my writing candles and is burned only when I'm working on a particular manuscript. It's a warm pomegranate cider, and stimulates that part of my brain that whispers, "Once upon a time..."
This 7 ounce pomegranate vessel is reusable, as the hand poured concrete is sealed with an eco-friendly sealant. The lower price of this artisan candle reflects some of what I deem as imperfections in the finish, the back and front sides are shown. Crafted with phthalate free fragrances and a sustainable, crackling wooden wick for a warm atmosphere.
