They are extremely straight forward to fit, simply line up the new wheel arches against the bodywork above where the originals used to be, mark the screw holes then drill and fix. The kit comes complete with all screws, plastic screw caps and edging strips.

To facilitate the fitment of larger diameter tyres to Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classics wide wheel arch kits are available for both 3 and 5 door models that enable the body work to be trimmed behind to open up the original arches providing the clearance needed. These arches are a full 2" (50mm) wide covering wider tyres.

Cutting the bodywork on a Discovery 2 is far less likely hence Terrafirma offers a 2" (50mm) wide wheel arch protector kit that follows the original bodywork and like the Defender requires no body trimming.

For Defender owners who want a wider wheel arch to improve looks and to cover those bigger tyres but do not want to drill the bodywork or change the side profile of the vehicle these 1 1/4" (30mm) wider wheel arches are the perfect choice. Fitted exactly as the originals with the same rivets and made from a similar semi flexible material these arches are perfect for the majority of wheel and tyre upgrade and will keep you legal. (These require a section of the original inner wheel arch to fully enclose the inner wing)

The James Bond film 'Spectre' sparked a whole new trend in Defender styling with huge tyres on beadlock wheels which needed extra wide wheel arches to cover them, These arches have become a key element in preparing lookalikes or stylized Defenders.

These arches are semi rigid and require drilling to fit and when accompanied with giant wheels and tyres really make a statement.
