<60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS> Supervised by Jimmy Masuko All Days Records Presents "60's Garage Disc Guide" Linked Reissue Series #29 J Beck Records' compilation of the explosion of teen garage bands in southern Texas! In 1964, an explosion of beat group records spawned many local indie labels across the country. Corpus Christi, in South Texas, was the gateway to Padre Island, an oceanfront resort town that attracted many teenagers in the summer. Born in Corpus, J Beck Records released low-down garage punk with three local groups, The Bad Seeds, The Zachary Saxx, and The Liberty Bells, at its core. Follow in the footsteps of J Beck Records, which recorded an explosion of straight-ahead teen garage bands that were also influenced by the likes of Houston's The Survivors Floor Elevators.
