Description:
This is a live album of a concert in 1978 by Robert Gordon, lead vocalist of the legendary CBGB band Tuff Darts, and Link Wray, a legendary guitarist and pioneer of punk and heavy rock who expanded the possibilities of the electric guitar by introducing the overdrive and inventing the power chord. This is a live album of the concert that Link Wray gave in 1978. In Memoriam: He passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 75. Robert Gordon, who started his career in punk rock and took the world by storm with his rockabilly style, and Link Wray, who was already a legend, teamed up to release albums in 1977 and 1978, and this album contains live performances in Cleveland. Gordon's vocals, said to be the second coming of Elvis, and Ray's superb guitar intermingle on this album. About half of the songs on this album are not from their albums, but they include "Five Days, Five Days," their first single, "Fire" (later covered by the Pointer Sisters), which was written by Bruce Springsteen for Gordon, and "The Painted Sisters" (later covered by the Painted Sisters), a song that has had a huge impact on the future of the band, Rumble," one of Link Wray's most famous songs, which has had a profound influence on future generations!
