Chassol
Description:
Chassol is a French musician, composer, arranger, and music director. His previous work "BIG SUN" was a big hit around the world, including here in Japan, and as mentioned above, his overwhelming individuality has been sought by the world's top artists such as Frank Ocean and Solange. The long-awaited new work by Chasol, "LUDI," is his first purely new work in about five years, since his 2016 release of "ULTRASCORES II," which was a collection of soundtrack material. Inspired by Hermann Hesse's full-length novel "The Glass Bead Game," this work is full of the most important element of music: playfulness, and is a mixture of suburban playgrounds, basketball players, Tokyo arcades, roller coasters, and the music of Crystal Kay (!), KOHH (!!!), and the music of the KOHH. and KOHH(!!!). and the sounds and voices of Japanese artists such as Crystal Kay (!), KOHH (!), and others were used as part of the melody. It was recorded in such a way that flutist Jocelyn Miennier and drummer Matthew Edward, his partner in composition, re-performed the piece on stage and captured it. This work is undoubtedly Chassol's masterpiece, a free, unique, uninhibited, and passionate composition that traverses a wide variety of sounds (including choral sounds), images, and improvisations, starting with the Hesse piece.
