Rintaro Akamatsu
Description:
Rintaro Akamatsu depicts the fateful encounter between Schumann and Brahms Rintaro Akamatsu's new album is about the fateful encounter between Schumann and Brahms, mainly based on the masterpiece "Kreisleriana". It was this encounter that brought Brahms into the world, and six years later, he created his Variations on the Second Movement of String Sextet No. 1, famous for its use in the movie "The Lovers," and dedicated it to Schumann's beloved wife, Clara. It is thought that Clara played something during their first meeting, but it has not been transmitted. Here, Clara's arrangement of "Lotus Flower," the seventh song from Schumann's song cycle "Milte no Hana" is performed. She concludes with Busoni's moving arrangement of "A Rose in Bloom" from Brahms' last work, Chorale preludes for organ. Akamatsu's performance is eloquent, and the passion of Schumann and Brahms blazes forth. Meanwhile, the casual nuances of the two arranged works are exquisite. King International
