Birm® is both an efficient and economical media for the removal of iron and manganese compounds from groundwater supplies. It is easily cleaned by backwashing to remove the filtered compounds and does not require regeneration. For effective use, it requires a pH of 6.8 to 9.0. Birm® can be used in either gravity-fed or pressurised water treatment systems. It is NSF Certified for assurance of food-grade quality.
