The latest release from Past Due, one of the most respected bands in the current scene for their superb taste and ability to find everything from boogie to modern soul and funk! From Texas comes a single and previously unreleased material by "Horizon," a monstrous soul group that combines modern soul, boogie, and sweetness. With a solid, funky sound and soulful voice, their modern soul has great destructive power, and their falsetto sweet soul has made a strong impression on collectors who have been digging for 7" records, despite only four releases, the true identity of this amazing soul group has remained a mystery. HORIZONHORIZON is a soul band formed in San Antonio, Texas in the early 1980's by the Boggess Brothers, Charlie, John and Geoff. Later, "T-Bow" Gonzales joined the band as a vocalist, and the group became known throughout Texas as a soul group with overwhelming potential. Although some of the songs on this album were never officially released, many of them have received heavy radio play in San Antonio and other parts of South Texas. During the band's heyday, they performed on stage with the Commodores and other major artists.After 40 years, the members of the group, who had carefully owned the sound recordings that had met an unfortunate fate and had been buried, remastered them to the best of their ability, leading to the realization of this CD release.
