Description:
Reverberations: TAPE & ELECTRONIC MUSIC 1961-1970", a retrospective CD box set featuring the first home recordings of the US contemporary musician/electronic musician PAULINE OLIVEROS, also known as "The Female Cage", from 1961, will be reprinted in 2022! Born in Houston, Texas in 1932, he spent the last years of his life working on meditative accordion improvisations through a delay system. He is also known as the godmother of electronic music in the U.S., having helped found the San Francisco Tape Music Center with Morton Subotnick and others. The album contains tape/electronic music from the late 1950s to the 1960s, the early years of his career, with primitive electronic sounds of roaring low and high frequencies.
