Featuring newly tooled, ultra free rolling trucks, WalthersProto HO Scale Amfleet Coaches are ready for your railroad's passenger trains. For over 50 years prototype Amfleet cars have formed the backbone of Amtrak(R) intercity service. The cars were especially designed to handle the tunnels and other close clearances of lines in the eastern United States. Designated Amfleet I, the first group of Amfleet coaches entered service in 1975 with enough space for 84 passengers per car. In 1981 a second group of nearly identical cars, designated Amfleet II, entered service. Built especially for long-distance trains, Amfleet II coaches provided more spacious interiors and slightly larger windows for 59 passengers. Amfleet cars are available with factory printed numbers or user-applied car number decals in a variety of era-appropriate paint schemes.

PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24" radius is recommended for operation.
