A fantastic Napa Cabernet from Turnbull Cellars. Highly recommended.

Ripe black fruits, roasted herbs, chocolate, and some spicy wood define the bouquet and it s full-bodied, has fine tannins, a glossy, layered texture, and outstanding length. It certainly has a modern edge, but is impeccably made. Enjoy bottles over the coming decade."

93 Points Int'l Wine Review: "The Napa Valley Cabernet from Turnbull is fantastic. It opens to perfumed aromatics of dark cherries and plums which are woven together with fresh cut flowers, toasted spices, tobacco and hints of dusted cocoa nuances all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is continues to impress with its gorgeous velvety texture and beautifully polished, nicely integrated tannins, which lead up to the long finish. This certainly has the potential to evolve for a decade or longer, however it is already quite appealing in its youth."

Made from all estate fruit from the Fortuna, Leopoldina, and Amoenus Vineyards, the Turnbull "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet is a great introduction to the Turnbull Winery. Winemaker Peter Heitz is garnering great acclaim for the work he's been doing at this small production facility, and it shows in this bottle. Of the vintage, Heitz says: “This wine captures the essence of where we farm in the Napa Valley. A wine of integrity, it’s a blend that we make to share at our own family table. A quintessential dirt to bottle wine that’s approachable at release and downright delicious."
