The King P-Nut gas tank is unique in that it allows full use of the fuel because of the left-side, 1/4" NPT petcock bung and the small gas filler moved up high on the tank. Being that this is a Frisco mount gas tank it sits high up on the backbone of your frame. If your filler cap is back too far, you can't fill the tank to the top without it spilling out. This gas tank was designed for universal use as it can be mounted with basic fabrication techniques, such as welding some threaded top hat bungs into the backbone of your motorcycle frame. The King P-Nut was also designed to simply bolt-on to 1986-2003 Sportster using Lowbrow Customs gas tank adapter brackets ZPN 790224.

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
