Blackened Brass Wilderness BowlThe bowl's openwork design is hand drawn and pierced to produce an aesthetically pleasing balance of order and chaos. Beginning with a delicate brass bowl form, the metal is carefully cut away to leave just the delicate rim and dynamic overlapping shapes. As with all of Ane's metalwork, the Wilderness bowl explores the boundary between functionality and sculptural form. This piece is sandblasted, patinated and waxed to add a depth of tone and texture.
