Epoxy-Polyamine Filler Surfacer Primer for Sealing Porous Concrete

Polyprime® EBF-LV is a two-component, high-solids, epoxy-polyamine filler surfacer primer. It consists of:

• Side-A (Black)
• Side-B (White)
  These components are mixed in a 1:1 volume ratio. It is typically used as a base primer to seal pores in rough or porous concrete before application of polyurethane or elastomeric coatings. This primer is not UV stable and must be overcoated.

• Priming rough or porous concrete surfaces
• Used when outgassing from concrete is a concern
• Suitable substrates: Concrete, polyurethane elastomeric surfaces, and steel

• Mixing Ratio: 1A:1B by volume
• Application Methods: Flat squeegee, phenolic resin core roller, trowel, or airless spray
• Tack Free Time: 3–5 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% RH
• Maximum Overcoat Window: 12 hours; if exceeded, solvent wipe and re-prime
• Pot Life: 30–45 minutes at 75°F (24°C), 50% RH
• Dry Film Thickness: 7 ± 1 mils (approx. 48 ± 25 microns)
• Coverage Rate: 1 gallon covers approximately 200 sq.ft (0.20 l/m²)
• Surface Temperature for Application: Must be > 50°F (10°C) and at least 5°F above the dew point

• Not UV stable — must be top-coated
• Very sensitive to heat — higher temperatures will reduce pot life and accelerate cure
• Do not dilute; use only freshly mixed material within its working time (20-minute limit once mixed)
• Low temperatures will extend cure time
• Shelf Life: 1 year in original sealed containers stored at 60–95°F (15–35°C)
• Clean equipment immediately with an environmentally safe solvent
• Final coating must be compatible with epoxy primers and should follow manufacturer’s system guidance
