The #CHERCLUTCH is knitted from the bottom up in stockinette stitch and turned inside out at the end, so that the wrong side becomes the exterior of the clutch. The base is worked flat in stockinette stitch, after which stitches are picked up to knit the sides of the clutch.

Once the sides are completed, the work is divided in two to knit casings for the clutch frame. The frame is then assembled into the clutch, and finally a lining is sewn into the inside.

How to work with Three Strands

The entire clutch is worked holding three strands of sequin yarn together throughout.

Sequin yarn has a tendency to tangle easily; therefore, it is not recommended to divide the yarn into three separate balls or to work from both ends of the skein simultaneously. To minimize tangling, it is strongly recommended to use the technique of working a single strand into a triple strand. This method can be likened to forming very loose chain stitches, where new loops are drawn out continuously as you knit, effectively creating a three-strand working yarn on the go.
