This stunning gemstone is Dendritic Opal. Handset into a Sterling Silver mount, it has been carefully cut and polished into a teardrop shape. 

Full of naturally occurring inclusions, the stone itself almost appears to resemble a wintery woodland scene. 

The stone is extremely rare because it is excavated and produced only in New Mexico, where there is only one mine for Dendritic Opal.
