NEW PRICING NOTICE – PLEASE READ
Due to recent international tariffs and sharply increased import costs, we’ve had to significantly raise the price of this product. This was not a decision we made lightly—we truly wish it weren’t necessary—but the added costs were unavoidable.

We are actively evaluating whether it still makes sense to continue importing this product long-term. The increased cost has already made it impossible for us to continue using it at our own nursery, which says a lot given how much we believe in its quality.

In the meantime, we’re offering the remaining stock at the fairest possible. Ultimately, customer response to this new pricing will heavily influence whether we bring in more. We’d love to continue offering it—but only if the demand still makes sense.

This mineral based plant substrate offers excellent drainage properties which ensures optimal root aeration and allows your plant to flourish. The substrate provides a stable pH value and the absorbent properties of the mix allow it to act as a reservoir to store water and nutrients, releasing them back to the plants as needed. Lechuza Pon does not compact or clump and its mineral base deters fungi and a large number of soil born pests such as fungus gnats. Pon is ideal for allergy sufferers. Please be aware Lechuza Pon is also enriched to feed your plants for 6 months, after which you will need to start applying fertilizer to feed your plants. Our analysis of the feed used determined the feeding is very light, if you are growing greedy plants or fast growers, you will probably want to consider applying additional fertilizer.

Lechuza advises in their marketing it is impossible to overwater when you use their product and water logging will never be an issue. This most certainly is true, but if you are growing in decorative containers that do not allow water to drain when you need it to drain, it doesn't matter what you are growing in, standing water is standing water!

Decorative elegance combined with unique functionality: BLACKSTONEPON puts traditional potting soil in the shade. The pure mineral plant substrate with natural charcoal and black lava features an exceptional dark color. It is the ideal alternative to conventional potting soil, as it is structurally stable, supports root aeration and optimally dosed water supply. Thus, it is in no way inferior to the conventional plant substrates of LECHUZA: pumice, lava and zeolite ensure high drainage ability and water storage and can thus reliably supply plants with a sufficient amount of water. The contained charcoal stimulates root growth. Since BLACKSTONEPON is pre-fertilized, plants are supplied with nutrients for 6-8 months. For the love of nature, the substrate is peat-free. It can be used for all indoor plants both for complete planting or as a decorative layer.
