2017 marked the 35th anniversary of the Carolina Herrera label. For her spring bridal collection she said she was "inspired by the woman of today and that each design was approached meticulous craftsmanship." You can easily see the craft and care put into this dress.

The gown is made out of a palest soft peach-ivory that combined a silk organza with a silk net. The colour has a touch more pink and is even prettier than how it was shot here. The fabric itself is very light in weight and it is only the tremendous amount of fabric in the dress that adds any weight. The lightness of all of those layers allow it to move beautifully around you once on.

The bodice is strapless with a slight curve over the bust. A pretty double layer ruffle made of silk organza finishes the top and continues down and between the cups of the breasts at the front for a pretty detail. Inside there is a full built-in cupped, wired and lightly boned stretch corset to hold everything in place.

The fabric is wrapped over and around the bust and waist in beautiful gathers that help to define the shape around you. It continues down and around the waist and then continues down in an angle around the hips. At the back it is all gathered into the zipper.

The ruffles of the skirt start all the way up at the top of the hip and they follow the angle created by the gathering over the bodice. The first very few top ruffles combine a layer of the silk organza with a layer of the netting so that you get this beautiful flow into the tiers of the lower skirt.

I love how the ruffles are set in different directions that give the lower skirts their massive volume and pretty romantic sweep.

All of the ruffles in the lower skirt are made out of layers of the silk organza mixed with matching layers of the silk netting underneath some of them. This addition of the netting every few rows adds support. For these lower ruffles, the netting is set underneath so it is not seen like how you see the netting on the more upper layers. All of the layers get wider as they near the hem.

The back and sides extend out longer than the front so that the entire dress sweeps around and behind you beautifully.

As beautiful as it looks in the photos this is a dress that is even better in person once moving and on an actual body.

I love that they have made the little straps that you hang the dress on a hanger with out of a beautiful soft pale blue that instantly gives you a "something blue" already built into the dress.

There is a full built-in corset that zips with its own zipper and has a inner waist stay that hooks to close. The dress is lined in a silk under that and there are multiple inner skirts supporting the volume of the skirt. All of the layers of the skirt are finished with stiffening around their hem to help hold the shape and volume. It closes with a back hidden set zipper. I see a bit of grubbiness along the very edge of the hem here and there. I don't think this has been worn, I think that is just from hitting the floor as it was hung in the past. It is very minor but mentioned for accuracy.
