30th Anniversary Edition

Aktuell gibt es den Immanis als 30th Anniversary Edition zum 30. Jubiläum von RAAL mit echtvergoldetem Kopfband als Standard-Version ohne Aufpreis. 

IMANNIS 

Der Immanis vergrößert die Oberfläche der Ribbons von 16,8 cm² auf 25,2 cm², den Schalendurchmesser auf 11 cm und die Impedanz auf 0,057Ω (0,29Ω mit dem 1,8 m langen Star-8 MkII Kopfhörerkabel).

Der maximale Schalldruckpegel steigt um 3 dB, die runde Ohrmuschelöffnung wächst auf 74 mm und das Gewicht auf 610 g. Das Gitter ist jetzt vergoldet. Im Vergleich dazu haben die Magna-Bändchen fast 29% mehr Oberfläche als der RAAL-requisite CA-1a-Treiber, während die Immanis-Bändchen fast doppelt so groß sind wie die Oberfläche des CA-1a und 1,45-mal größer als die des SR-1a/b.

Insgesamt bietet Immanis 50 % mehr Oberfläche als Magna und hat eine größere Vorderkammer. Unterschiede gibt es auch bei den Details der Kopffeder, den Nähten des Kopfbandes und den mitgelieferten Kabeln.

Verstärkung

Der Anschluss an Verstärker erfolgt über das RCD-Interface, das mit speziell entwickelten Ringkerntransformatoren höchster Qualität ausgestattet ist. Das Interface ist im Stil eines Kopfhörerständers gestaltet. Ringkerntransformatoren wandeln einen spannungsgesteuerten Verstärkerausgang in ein stromgesteuertes Signal zur Ansteuerung der Bändchen um.

Kompatible Verstärker sollten eine niedrige Ausgangsimpedanz von weniger als 10mV DC-Offset haben und für den Betrieb von Lasten von 32Ω oder mehr geeignet sein. Für den Typ 300B und andere Röhrenverstärker, die für Lautsprecher ausgelegt sind, sind 8Ω oder 16Ω auf Anfrage erhältlich (ohne Aufpreis).

Die Schnittstelle mit einer einzigen Impedanz soll die Kompatibilität mit verschiedenen Head-Fi-Verstärkern gewährleisten. Im Vergleich zu älteren Modellen benötigt der Magna nur 2,4 Watt und der Immanis nur 1,5 Watt, was einen höheren Wirkungsgrad und eine größere Kompatibilität ermöglicht.

Geeignete Verstärker, wie z.B. der Auris Headonia 10th Anniversary 300B oder der Trafomatic Primavera mit SV811-10, versorgen das Interface mit voller Leistung. Die 100%ige Leitfähigkeit der Bändchen ermöglicht eine präzise Kontrolle über die gesamte Membran, was zu einer schnellen Ansprache und beeindruckenden Dynamik führt. Der Xmax-Wert von ±4 mm für die Raal 1995-Folien ist für Kopfhörer-Treiber außergewöhnlich.

Die SPL-Fähigkeit von 115/118 dB für Magna/Immanis widerlegt das Klischee der zerbrechlichen Bändchen und unterstreicht die Leistungsfähigkeit dieser serbischen Bändchenkopfhörer, sowohl für Consumer- als auch für professionelle Anwendungen. Die kuratierten Verstärker, darunter der neue Auris-Verstärker, sorgen für die nötige Leistung und Kompatibilität der Schnittstelle.
