The 33rd Field Artillery Regiment is an inactive unit of the United States Army, first constituted in 1918 as part of the National Army. It functioned as a parent regiment under the U.S. Army Regimental System and has no active regiments today The regiment saw active service with the 1st Infantry Division during World War II, and later, its 2nd and 6th Battalions participated in the Vietnam War. During the Cold War, the 2nd Battalion was stationed in New Ulm, West Germany (FRG).
