Take note that the sweater is supposed to be loose fitted.
The measurements are based on the size of the sweater after washing ; the sweater might increase in cm when washed depending on the way it’s washed.

Material

Angel light lace : 1/1/1/1/1/1

Hand dyed Angel light lace from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is airy and light yarn with a mixture of 80% extra fine merino and 20% Silk. The yarn works perfectly as an alternative to silk mohair. Approx 100g / 800 m in each skein.

Kid silk mohair : 2/3/3/3/4/4

Hand dyed kid silk mohair from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is a mixture of brushed 72% Kid mohair and 28% silk singles , it ́s lightweight luxurious mohair yarn, super soft and fantastic to work with. Approx 420m/50gr in each skein.

The pattern was created to make use of leftover mohair threads, so please feel free to mix together any mohair threads as desired. The sweater weighs between 100 - 200 gr, and you can play with any leftovers and change out colors as you want.

Circular needles 60 and 80 cm in 8 mm.
Circular needles 40 and 80 cm in 12 mm.
DPN 4 – 5 pieces ; 8 mm.
Tapestry needle for stitching the threads and 3 x safety pins 6 stitch markers.

Tension gauge sample

Be sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.
Cast on 9 stitches with 4 strands (1 Angel light lace & 3 Kid silk mohair) and knit 12 rows on needles 12 mm for a 10 x 10 cm sample.
If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle.
If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The sweater is knitted with four strands of yarn from the bottom to top in a round for the most part .The body and the sleeve are knitted separately and then joined at the armpits and knitted flat from back and forth for the yoke. The neckline is knitted in round after the yoke has been knitted.

Yarn quantity required is based on an average , and is therefore an approximate number. The sweater can be knitted in any substituted yarn that consists of the same weight as the given threads.

The perfect leftover yarn project !

Recommended technique for leftover project :
Change the threads accordingly : In every 3-5 row, remove 1 color and add in another color instead ; but always keep the base as 4 strands, the mohair can be rubbed together by adding ca 10 cm of the end of the yarn together with the beginning of a new yarn, rub them together and slowly they should start to stick together. With the angel lace ; just tie knots. Don’t be afraid to mix colors with high contrast ; you are the designer here and feel free to go out of your comfort zone.
