This stainless steel hose float ball is precisely engineered to keep the recirculating hose from settling into the grain bed inside the mash tun or mash colander. Maintaining the hose afloat ensures steady wort flow and avoids channeling by keeping the wort return at the top of the mash bed, thereby optimizing extraction efficiency and preserving the quality of the beer. The float also has utility during vorlauf, ensuring that the wort return does not disturb the lower portions of the filter bed, and that all grain particulate is returned to the top of the grain bed.

With a 3 inch or 75mm outside diameter this stainless hose float easily stays near the surface, and with a 23mm inside diameter, it perfectly fits the BREWHA 1/2" braided silicone hose. 

To prevent the hose float from sliding up or down a hose, a stainless steel hose clamp can be attached on either side to keep the float in place, or attaching one on both sides of the float ball will prevent the float ball from sliding in either direction.

The Pro Hose Float Kit includes 3' of 1/2" nylon braid reinforced silicone hose and three hose clamps, and the Pilot Hose Float Kit includes 2' of 1/2" nylon braid reinforced silicone hose and three hose clamps.
