We manufacture the finest Pharma grade DMSO available using GMP guidelines. 

You will notice we package in glass and plastic containers. In the past, if DMSO was packaged in plastic containers using BPA (Bis Phenol A) as a plasticizer it would easily leach into the DMSO and therefore be consumed or absorbed into the skin. Plastic Manufacturers no longer use BPA in containers. 

Some customers prefer glass while others do not mind storage in plastic. It's a matter of choice, we have tested all the containers we use for packaging DMSO including glass to understand if there was anything toxic chemicals dissolving into the DMSO. The results were conclusive, we found absolutely no difference in composition between the glass and plastic containers after storing them for 6 months.

Dimethyl Sulfoxide is a very nontoxic dipolar aprotic organic solvent that is a naturally occurring substance. DMSO is found in many food products from beer to milk! It has a very low acute toxicity for animals, plants and aquatic life. There are many innovative uses for DMSO currently being studied.

Skin contact, with DMSO has been extensively studied with humans and animals with large dosages over extended period of times showing only minor effects such as skin irritation, itching and a burning sensation. There have been no long-term detrimental effects observed from exposure to DMSO.

It's important to understand that pure Pharma grade DMSO has no real odor and the constituents that cause this are from dimethyl sulfide and also bismethylthiosulfate. When manufacturing on an industrial scale these components are not removed and have absolutely no effect on the performance properties of DMSO in what the FDA has approved for medicinal use as an example. We refine the DMSO to remove any of these odor objectionable ingredients.

DMSO should always be stored in a dry dark place for long term stability. DMSO is hygroscopic and therefore you should always keep it closed when not using. DMSO will slowly degrade over time when exposed to direct light. It is best stored somewhere cool, dry, and dark.

If DMSO is stored correctly it will be useful for no less than 2 years from date of purchase.

If your DMSO arrives with crystals or has solidified there is no need to worry. This is completely normal and can be easily turned back into a liquid with no effect on the product. Because DMSO freeze at 65 Deg F it can be turned back into a liquid by allowing it to thaw out above this temp, however it will take some time. You can run warm water over the container if you want it to thaw quicker.

1. OSHA does not have a PEL (Permissible Exposure Level) for Dimethyl Sulfoxide.

2. DMSO is listed by the FDA as a substance that is permitted for direct addition to food for human consumption as a residual solvent     

3. DMSO is approved by the FDA for the intravesical treatment of interstial cystitis.

• Please Note DMSO is a very powerful solvent and will destroy many surfaces such as paint, leather furniture etc. Be careful not to get DMSO on these surfaces if you do not want them ruined.

• DMSO is a dense liquid and may appear not to be completely full in the container, however we sell the product by weight and you are guaranteed the exact amount you purchased.
