This completely charmed me, small enough to carry around in one's breast pocket to keep her very close to one's heart!  Two fine graphite portrait drawings of the same woman, with a piece of black paper in between and glass on either side to make for a double-sided portrait, papered around the edges in red and gold. C. 1830s or so I believe, and would guess British, with the three quarters view drawing especially fine; how winsome she looks, as if long in waiting for her sweetheart to return.

2 5/8" x 2 1/8", very good condition, with just a tiny bit of curling to the red and gold edgingat one corner, visible from the profile side. Double-sided; first photo shows both sides combined in one photo.
