International conventions emphasize that access to adequate, safe, acceptable, and affordable drinking water is fundamental to the realization of human rights. Water is essential for human life and dignity, intricately connected to other basic needs. However, privatization has progressively eroded water as a common resource. It is the government's duty to ensure water and sanitation, including infrastructure, are accessible and affordable, safeguarding this essential utility for all.
