Inspired by the Catalin plastics used during Gibson's late-1950s production, this switch tip features the warm appearance and period-correct styling associated with the legendary Burst era. It's the perfect finishing touch for historic restorations, custom reissues and vintage-inspired builds where authenticity matters.

Catalin is a type of cast phenolic resin plastic that was developed in the 1920s as an improvement over earlier plastics such as Bakelite. Unlike Bakelite, which is typically dark and opaque, Catalin is known for its ability to be cast in a wide range of vibrant colors and translucent effects, making it especially popular for decorative items.
