Very similar to the model AST, Renfroe's ASTL Non-Locking Type Lifting Clamp has been specifically developed for lifting, turning, and stacking lightweight beams and other structural shapes while a constant tension is applied to the lifting shackle.

The horizontal shackle allows the beam to be lifting with the web in a near sideways position by attaching the clamp to the load with the shackle positioned over the web, and between the flanges.

With a beam laying in a horizontal position, the clamp placed with the shackle overhanging the flange, users can lift, turn through 90-degrees, and raise the beam in a vertical position.

The ASTL Lifting Clamp boasts all the same exceptional feature as the AST model, but also includes a linkage which permits the tool to be removed remotely by setting the load down with the sling slack, then lifting the crane hook.
